South African President Jacob Zuma last night confirmed the death of former South African President Nelson Mandela.
In his nationwide broadcast, on Thursday night, President Zuma's said "He is now resting. He is now at peace. Our nation has lost its greatest son. Our people have lost a father."
Rolihlahla Dalibhunga Mandela was born in the village of Mvezo, in the Transkei on 18 July.
